The Southwestern Island Republic of Hasta  (南西諸島国家ハスタ Nanseishotō kokka Hasuta, Nansei Islands Nation Hasuta) is a sea-based merchant haven located on the tail of the continent of Remlia in Dragon Marked For Death.

Overview (Artbook)[2]

The Southwestern Island Republic of Hasta (aka the Nansei Islands State of Hasta) consists of the tail of Atruum.

The mainland consists of the islands that extend from the southern end of the central continent to the northwest, and there is active exchange and trading with the central continent through the sea route from the east and the land route in the south. Due to the desertification of the central and southern regions, trade is currently centered on the sea route, but in the southern archipelago, there are many people who cross the desert in a caravan.

Although the land area is small, it is an island country surrounded by the sea, so it is developing mainly in fishing and ship technology.

The royal capital of the Divine Family is the giant Spear of the Gods that is projected onto the northernmost island.

Monsters related to water and the sea, marine accidents, pirates, and grave robbers attacking caravans are being viewed as problems.

Geography and Locations

The Southwestern Island Republic of Hasta is a large trading network situated around a crescent-shaped landmass. Scaffolding supports the many markets and docks of the island as well as a broken piece of the Spear of the Gods, one of the holy weapons used by the gods in the war.[3] The Republic contains the five large islands and one small island that form the tail of Remlia. Due to its location, it has developed mainly in fishing and sailing technology.[1] It connects to the Central Kingdom of Medius through the Lanza Channel.

The Lanza Channel is a dangerous, stormy sailing trade route that connects directly to the Central Kingdom of Medius. Monsters such as goblins are rampant in this area. During the events of the quest, Sea of Tumult, a merchant ship that was carrying the Statue of Fishery had been swallowed up by the Cthulhu. The Statue of Fishery keeps the seas calm and the waves at bay, according to Balenno, the captain of the ship. The original intent was to send the Statue of Fishery to the Medius Divine Family in order to calm tensions between the two kingdoms.

The Cadena Forest is a toxic, unclean forest. Trees and other vegetation are colored purple and some plants spew out poison gas. There is a hut in the area that houses Eterno, the scientist investigating the mystery of the Undying Dragon.
