The Northern Federation of Pagnas  (北部国家パグナス Hokubu kokka Pagunasu, Northern State Pagunasu) is a militaristic and industrial nation led by the Pagnas Divine Family, located on the head of the continent of Remlia in Dragon Marked For Death.

Overview (Artbook)[2]

The Northern Federation of Pagnas consists of the area from the head to the neck of Atruum. The part corresponding to the eyeball is a lake, and a huge Axe of the Gods is pierced in the center of the lake, which is also the residence of the Divine Family.

A special area where a purified frigid mountain range (Atruum's dorsal fin to the corner) and an unpurified volcanic area (Atruum's throat, airway entrance, fire breath path) coexist on the north side of the river flowing from this lake.

In the world of Remlia, the buildings are typically made of stone, but in the Northern Federation, rock erosion is severe due to the large difference in climate depending on the location, and abundant mining resources can be obtained from the surrounding mountains. Steel technology and building technology with those resources are developing.

Due to the fact that the land is geographically close to the royal capital, there are many collisions with monsters, and military national pride is becoming stronger in the sense of defending the rare land.

Geography and Locations

The Northern Federation of Pagnas contains a metal bridge leading towards the capital. It was built in front of a giant axehead known as the Axe of the Gods, one of the holy weapons used by the gods in the war. Underneath the bridge are small settlements and contraptions used for lowering people down into the mines. The landscape surrounding the kingdom contains many mines with an abundance of ore, thus leading to the creation of the realm's many metalworking and construction techniques.[1] The kingdom is connected to the Central Kingdom of Medius by a wide river trailing down the neck of Remlia.

The Labyrinth of Flame

In stark contrast with the snowy landscape of the Tarpol Mountains, the Labyrinth of Flame is a flaming dungeon with traces of the Astral Dragon. Due to the Astral Dragon's Armament, monsters are drawn to this area every day. Pagnas Knights are sent here to combat the source of the monsters, but after going inside the labyrinth, many have never returned.
